“You cannot use an old map to explore a new world.” – Einstein
In this edition:
🔹 NVIDIA partners to build a supercomputer and we’re noticing.
🔹 Standing up actually slows your biological clock (yes, your chair’s the enemy)
🔹 Most AI innovations fail (more than you would think). But the winners change
everything.
🔹 What we’re loving: tools to make you sharper, richer, longer-lasting

💡 THE BIG IDEA: PHARMA JUST UPGRADED ITS PROCESSOR
What’s happening:Roche inked a $55 million deal with Manifold Bio to license its AI-powered platform that designs shuttles to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB); the trick barrier pharma’s been trying to bust for decades.
Simultaneously, Eli Lilly announced a partnership with NVIDIA to build what they call the “most powerful supercomputer owned by a pharma company” in order to fast-track AI drug discovery.
Why it matters: Drug discovery used to be a glacial process: anatomy of trial & error, years in the lab, billions in cost. What we’re seeing now is a processor-upgrade for pharma: fewer years, less money wasted, more direct hits. That means winners will pull ahead fast and laggards will get trampled.
FutureProof Take: If you’re looking for the next breakout, don’t only watch “which drug got approved.” Watch “which platform is rewriting how drugs get made.” Because that’s the moat.
➡️ Action Step:
If investing: filter for partners that show real AI + molecule + lab cycle reduction (not just hype).
If building: ask “how much of my process is still human & manual?” and figure how to hand off the repetitive pieces.
🧬 LONGEVITY + MOVEMENT: YOUR CHAIR MIGHT BE AGING YOU
What’s happening:
A new study protocol published shows that improving metabolic flexibility, (in common-speak, your body’s ability to switch fuel sources), is strongly predicted by reductions in sedentary time and increases in light activity.
Researchers argue that metabolic flexibility may be a foundational factor in long-term healthspan and lifespan.
Why it matters:
The fancy labs are cool. But your actual longevity edge Could be as simple as “sit less, move more.” If your cells are locked into burning carbs all day, you’re aging faster than your calendar age suggests.
FutureProof Take:
Longevity is not just about “what treatment I’ll get in 2040.” It’s about what you do today. I.e. get off the chair and outside.
➡️ Action Step:
Set a minimum: every hour, stand or walk for 3-5 minutes. Use a wearable or timer. Treat movement like a daily dose of your future self’s health insurance.
💼 CAPITAL: THE WORKPLACE-TECH PIVOT IS LIVE
What’s happening: Workplace tech, especially agentic AI tools, is capturing capital. Companies like Splunk and Cisco are betting big on agentic observability platforms.
Enterprise research shows that only a small fraction of AI pilots succeed. A whopping 95% deliver little measurable profit, but the winners will scale aggressively.
Why it matters: This isn’t just about “internal tools.” It’s about transformation of entire business models: workflow automation, human-machine collaboration, decision systems, new talent models. Where capital flows = where value will be created.
FutureProof Take: If you’re investing, track the platforms enabling agentic AI (workforce analytics, hybrid collaboration, decision automation) not just the flashy “AI startup.” If you’re building, ask: where does human + machine junction make new value?
➡️ Action Step: Scan your business or portfolio for one legacy function (HR, customer service, compliance, operations) that hasn’t been touched by agentic AI. Ask: “What’s the ROI of replacing/redefining it this year?” Start sketching the roadmap.
🎉 Checkpoint halfway.
